Attorney Wasser to Speak November 6 at SU Military Lawyers Training

On November 6, 2015, Seattle immigration lawyer, Bonnie Stern Wasser, will be speaking about Immigration Law at the Legal Assistance Training for Lawyers Assisting Military Personnel to be held at Seattle University over two days.  This is an annual program sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association Legal Assistance to Military Personnel Section put on in conjunction with the military JAG Corps.  This program is intended for those who support military personnel and veterans or who are interested in serving these clients. The training satisfies requirements for judge advocates to become certified under the APR 8(g) limited practice rules for Washington State courts.

Ms. Wasser participated last year and was invited again to speak this year.  The CLE is a two-day CLE covering a number of law topics to help military lawyers and their assistants provide a range of legal services to members of the military and their families.  In recent years, immigration issues and options have increased for military families, including expedited citizenship, Parole in Place, and other benefits.  Ms. Wasser previously served on the AILA Military Assistance Program (MAP) Task Force and works as a volunteer on MAP cases.
